Bali
Rice terraces, surf breaks, temple cliffs and a café scene built for slow mornings — Bali is the honeymoon-and-digital-nomad favourite.

Why visit Bali
Bali packs an outsized variety into one small island. The south (Seminyak, Canggu, Uluwatu) is surf, beach clubs and sunset cliffs; the centre around Ubud is rice terraces, yoga and jungle rivers; the east and the Nusa islands are quieter, with manta rays and dramatic viewpoints.
It has become the default honeymoon and remote-work destination for a reason: it is affordable, photogenic and set up for visitors, with villas and cafés to match any budget. Indian travellers will find plenty of vegetarian food and a familiar warmth to the hospitality.
Entry is via a straightforward visa on arrival. Rent a scooter if you are confident (traffic is chaotic), hire a driver for the day if you are not, and resist the urge to cram the whole island into a week — Bali is best taken slow.
Best time to visit Bali from India
April to October is the dry season — sunnier skies, better surf and lower humidity.
July–August is peak and busiest. The November–March wet season is greener and cheaper but expect afternoon downpours.
